Sharon Yvonne Stone is the sole daughter from Dorothy Lawson (an accountant) and Joseph William Stone II, who was a manufacturer of tool and dies, as well as a former worker in a factory. She was born on 10 March 1958in Meadville Pennsylvania. Michael, Kelly and Patrick, are three of her siblings. Stone was regarded as an academically gifted as a child and began second grade at five. She graduated from Saegertown High School in Saegertown, Pennsylvania, in 1975. She was also a contestant in the Miss Pennsylvania beauty pageant, which she won Miss Crawford County. Stone moved back to New Jersey with her aunt in 1977, to pursue a modeling career after signing at the Ford Modeling Agency within a month. While in Europe Stone was able to spend a whole year living in Milano as well as Paris. Stone unhappy with the world of model within Europe took up acting as she lived in Europe. Woody Allen's movie, "Stardust Memories", received mixed reviews at the age of 20.
